OK, it isn't really all that bad, but we're prefer that you say RENEWABLE rather than ALTERNATIVE when discussing energy sources.

Here in the Midwest alternative implies that something is different or more likely it would be taken to mean somewhat strange. Some folks in San Francisco, they have alternative lifestyles. Now that is their thing and it's all good, but what we do happens year after year after year and its the only sensible way to produce power. That is renewable, plain and simple.

If you must call names, may we suggest you find something appropriately descriptive for big oil? Given peak oil it won't be too long before renewable is the only game in town and they're just going to have to get used to playing second fiddle ...
