Stranded Wind

Investor Relations

The Stranded Wind Initiative was conceived as a volunteer organization that would gather up information on developing stranded renewables, package this information, and spread it around to whomever might want to apply it. We've had a surge of interest, there are people wanting to do projects all over the country, so we're moving to being a 501C8 fraternal organization. A significant portion of our contributors are the lone inventor sort and we feel the fraternal organization is a better structure than the more common 501C3, as it will permit us to provide members life and health benefits as the organization grows as well as positioning us to accept donations.

This being said, there is no direct investment opportunity with the Stranded Wind Initiative itself, but the organization's members can and do get involved in all sorts of activities. Six members of the organization have formed an LLC in Iowa and are currently seeking funds for large scale wind driven ammonia production facilities, with three good sites having been identified in a market that could stand twenty of them. As this is updated (3/22/2008) a similar effort is gathering steam in Massachusetts. There are many other efforts that are less mature, but we'll make them known as they become ready for direct investment.

If you are interested in backing a locally conceived and managed project we would like to hear from you.
